speakerConan O'Brien to deliver 2011 Commencement address
A late night comic for nearly 20 years, O'Brien got his start in comedy as an undergraduate writing for the Harvard Lampoon. He went on to write for some of television's most influential and enduring comedy shows, including Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons. O'Brien is the host of Conan, which appears weeknights on TBS.

Commencement will be broadcast live on Dartmouth's homepage beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET on June 12, 2011.


nchipU.S. colleges and universities join forces to address high-risk drinking
To date, 13 institutions have joined Dartmouth in an unprecedented initiative to address the serious health challenge of binge drinking among college students. "By collaborating on this issue, comparing our experiences, and learning from each other's best practices, we believe we are much more likely to make meaningful and lasting progress," says President Jim Yong Kim.

Dartmouth baseball and women's lacrosse continue their seasons this weekend during the Ivy League tournaments, which begin May 6.
