Lily Chesnut '10Hiring is up for members of the Class of 2010
Compared to last year, more seniors are being offered full-time employment due to a stronger economic climate and an increase in positions posted by alumni, says Monica Wilson, associate director of Career Services.

Ten graduates will be working as paid fellows in New York and Washington, D.C., thanks to the new alumni-initiated Dartmouth Partners in Community Service (DPCS) postgraduate program. Pictured is Lily Chesnut '10 of South Strafford, Vt., who will work as a DPCS fellow at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y.

Read more about the DPCS fellowships and the careers seniors are pursuing, including the foreign service. Twenty-four percent of seniors who responded to a survey will attend medical, law, or another graduate school.

postIn the news: The Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science
President Jim Yong Kim and James Weinstein, co-president of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, authored "Health Reform's Next Test" in the Washington Post on May 17, the day the new center was announced.

Many media outlets, including the New York Times, published the Associated Press story, "$35M for Dartmouth health care delivery center."

kim"We believe that a problem as complicated, as difficult, and as globally important as health care has to be tackled by the great institutions," says President Kim in this video about why Dartmouth has a special advantage in addressing this complex issue.

Kim and Weinstein also discussed the need for health care delivery science and the importance of the partnership with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
