President James Wright and Susan DeBevoise Wright recognized by many for decades of serviceThe Wrights have recently received accolades from Faculty of the Arts and Sciences, the campus community (during an ice cream social), and the Alumni Council. Currently the second-longest serving president in the Ivy League, President James Wright steps down on June 30.
President Wright talked about his 40-year tenure at Dartmouth on New Hampshire Public Radio's call-in program, "The Exchange," hosted by Laura Knoy, on June 4. He will also be recognized by the Boston Red Sox and the crowd at Fenway Park when he throws out the first pitch of the 7 p.m. game this Saturday, June 6.

President-elect Jim Yong Kim lectures on global health, discusses first year at Dartmouth (video)As he prepares to take office on July 1, Kim delivered the lecture, "Tackling the World's Troubles: Global Health and the Challenge for Dartmouth," at the Tuck School of Business on May 26. The event was co-sponsored by Tuck's Healthcare Club and the undergraduate Student Assembly.

Alumni College at Reunion 2009 offers expanded programmingFaculty lectures at Alumni College include "Life and Literature of Norman Maclean '24," "3D Archaeology," and "Evita: The Woman Behind the Myth." Historic season for Ivy Champion baseball team ends in Chapel HillDartmouth fell 5 -1 to North Carolina and 16-0 to Kansas at the NCAA regional tournament. Finishing the season with the second-most wins in the program's history (27), the Big Green set a remarkable number of school records, including in runs (341), home runs (44), RBI (323), games played (45), triples (19), innings pitched (372.2), pitching appearances (126) and saves (13).
