Olympic ringsFour Dartmouth Alumni to Compete in the Summer Olympics
Sean Furey '04, Thayer '05 and '06; Evelyn Stevens '05; Erik Storck '07; and Anthony Fahden '08 represent Dartmouth at the London Summer Games, beginning Friday, July 27. Stevens, a cyclist, has received national media attention for her decision to ride away from a Wall Street career.

Year of the Arts Dartmouth's Year of the Arts Is Under Way
Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, and the Alvin Ailey dancers headline the Year of the Arts, which will showcase an exceptional roster of performances, arts-related programming, and interdisciplinary undertakings reaffirming Dartmouth's role as one of the nation's leading academic arts communities and "a model for college campuses across the country," says President Carol L. Folt.

Dartmouth PanelsAbstract Sculpture Installed at Hopkins Center for the Arts
Dartmouth Panels, a major work by artist Ellsworth Kelly, graces the east wall of the Hopkins Center, setting off the Arts District and the new Black Family Visual Arts Center. The work was commissioned by Trustee Emeritus Leon Black '73 and his wife, Debra Black, who contributed $48 million toward creation of the center.
