"Presidential candidates, policy leaders meet with students"

graduation caps U.S. Treasury Secretary, Republican presidential hopefuls among visitors to campus for "Leading Voices" lecture series
The lecture series is integrated with the course, "Contemporary Issues in American Politics and Public Policy," which provides students with "unparalleled access to politicians and policy makers," says Professor Charles Wheelan '88. Read more about the course sponsored by the Rockefeller Center.

Speakers have included former mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner '83, U.S. Senator for Ohio Rob Portman '78 (pictured), and presidential candidates Charles "Buddy" Roemer and Jon Huntsman Jr. (Both hope to return to Dartmouth on October 11 for the Republican presidential debate.)

ConanIn Pristina, Dartmouth students join peers at American University in Kosovo to restore a neglected Jewish cemetery
As part of Dartmouth's Project Preservation program, community members from Dartmouth and the American University in Kosovo spent time this summer studying the issue of genocide and restoring a cemetery that had been abandoned since the Kosovo War.

President Jim Yong Kim and President of the American University in Kosovo Christopher Hall recently signed an agreement to further strengthen the two institutions' partnership.
