Dartmouth President Jim Yong Kim scheduled to appear on Bill Moyers Journalpbs

President Kim spoke with Moyers about health care reform following President Barack Obama's speech to Congress on Wednesday. Most PBS stations, including those in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C., are broadcasting the weekly episode on Friday, Sept. 11, at 9 p.m., while others are airing it on Sunday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. Check your local listing by entering your zip code. The 17th president of Dartmouth, Kim is a physician with decades of experience in international health policy. He is a co-founder of Partners in Health and former director of the department of HIV/AIDS at the World Health Organization. Moyers, a recipient of 30 Emmy awards, is one of the nation's most influential journalists.

In previous discussions on health care, President Kim has spoken of the importance of research by The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. The Institute is frequently cited by the media and has played a significant role in the debate on health care reform.
