View the live webcast of the Inauguration of Dartmouth's 17th president, Jim Yong Kim, on Tuesday, September 22, at 11 a.m. EST. The ceremony, which also marks the Convocation of the College's 240th year, will be broadcast on the Inauguration website.

See the Order of Ceremonies. In addition to distinguished speakers (see below), Inauguration features the New England Brass Consort, an honor song by the Occom Pond Singers, an invocation by President Kim's uncle, Hearn Chun, and a solo by Kim's sister Heidi Kim, a soprano. President Emeritus James Wright will present President Kim with the Wentworth Bowl.

The ceremony will be held on the Dartmouth Green. See the preparations on the Green by clicking on the Baker Tower webcam.

Speakers include President Kim, who will deliver the Inaugural address; Dr. Paul Farmer, who founded the organization Partners in Health along with Kim and others; John Lynch, New Hampshire governor; Frances Vernon '10, president of the student body; Allan Brandt, dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University; Ruth Simmons, president of Brown University; and Michael Porter, professor at Harvard Business School. panelView the Leadership panel on Monday, Sept. 21

On Monday at 4 p.m. leaders in a variety of fields will participate in a "Reflections on Leadership for Social Change" panel. Participants include President Kim; Dr. Paul Farmer; Chair of the Board of Trustees Ed Haldeman '70, CEO of Freddie Mac; Trustee Jeffrey Immelt '78, CEO and chairman of GE; Michael Porter, professor at Harvard Business School; and Ruth Simmons, president of Brown University. Sydney Finkelstein, professor at the Tuck School of Business, will moderate the panel, and Carol Folt, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, will introduce President Kim.

The panel will be broadcast live on the Inauguration website beginning at 4 p.m. EST. Learn more.
